    Plasma technology is used to modify the skin by turning the surface into gas. The device generates heat which cauterises the outermost part of the epidermis without damaging the surrounding areas of skin or deeper structures.

    Tiny micro plasma dots are directed around the area of concern in a grid-like fashion. The device then causes a carbon crust to form on the surface of the skin.

    This non-surgical procedure is also an amazing alternative because it gives the opportunity for the practitioner to communicate with the patient, asking them to open and close their eyes during the eye lift procedure.

    WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE PLASMA EYE LIFT PROCEDURE?

    Immediately after your plasma eye lift procedure, the treated area will be quite red and slightly swollen. The swelling usually subsides after 3 days while the redness can last for up to 7 days. At the site of each microdot, a carbon crust will form. These crusts are to be left to come away on their own which usually takes between 5 to 14 days; in some cases this can be longer.     The process of Dermaplaning involves using a scalpel to take off a very thin layer of dead skin and hair. If the use of the word scalpel has suddenly made you gulp and run for cover, don’t worry, it’s quite gentle and can be compared to the sensation of fingernails being moved across your skin, similar to the sensation of shaving your legs. Dermaplaning (not to be confused with Dermabrasion) is suitable for women who are pregnant or nursing, as no peeling agents are used during the process.

Following this, we’re ready to go ahead – To summarise, we gently pull a small area of skin taut with one hand (to smooth and tighten it) and then use the other hand to gently scrape off the top layer of skin cells with the scalpel held at a 45 degree angle. The strokes are short and swift and will quickly remove any ‘peach fuzz’ along with the dead skin cells.
